What you can apply for
GAVI offers the following types of support which eligible countries can apply for and benefit from until 2015:
- Immunisation services support (ISS);

New and underused vaccines support (NVS), provided with associated injection safety equipment. Immunisation coverage for the third dose for diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DTP3) must reach 50% before countries are eligible to receive new vaccines.
- Hepatitis B vaccine (HepB), presented as a tetravalent ("4 in 1") vaccine, in combination with DTP3, or as a pentavalent ("5 in 1") vaccine in combination with DTP3 and Hib.
- Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine (Hib), presented as a tetravalent ("4 in 1") vaccine in combination with DTP3, or more commonly presented as a pentavalent ("5 in 1") vaccine in combination with DTP3 and HepB.
- Pneumococcal vaccine (Pneumo)
- Rotavirus vaccine (Rota)
Regardless of the level of DTP3 coverage, countries can apply for:
- Yellow fever vaccine (YF)
For countries eligible according to WHO criteria:
- Measles vaccine for introduction as a second routine dose (MSD)
