GAVI disbursements to countries by type of support and year (2000-March 31, 2013)
From its inception in 2000 to 31 March 2013, GAVI has disbursed over US$4.6 billion to over 70 countries.
Over the same period, GAVI Alliance support has helped prevent over 5.5 million future deaths through routine immunisation against hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and pertussis (whooping cough), and one-off investments in immunisation against measles, polio and yellow fever; many more have been protected against debilitating illness and disability.
