Cash received by GAVI and programme disbursements

There has been a significant scaling up of disbursements to countries in correlation to the significant scaling up of income to GAVI.  The cash GAVI received in 2006 reflects a new and innovative source of funding for GAVI – the US$ 525 million IFFIm funds - as well as the US$ 215 million cash received from government, the EC and private donors. Income to GAVI in 2000 and 2001 includes the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s donation.
