Rotavirus vaccine
Following the April 2009 meeting of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on Immunization, Rotavirus vaccine is recommended for inclusion into all national immunisation programmes. GAVI support for the rotavirus vaccine became available in 2007, when the vaccine was only accepted for use in the Americas and Europe. In January 2009, four countries - Bolivia, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua - were approved for GAVI funding.
