Health system strengthening and civil society organisation support
There are a total of 72 countries eligible for support from GAVI for health system strengthening (HSS), available for the first time in 2007.As at January 2009, 44 countries had had their applications approved.
Civil Society Organisation (CSO) support has been approved for five countries - Afghanistan, Congo DR, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Pakistan.
