Internal Audit ("IA") is an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the operations of the GAVI Alliance. IA assists GAVI in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organisation's risk management, control, and governance processes. The scope of IA's work extends not only to the Secretariat but also to the programs and activities carried out by GAVI's grant recipients and partners.

These By-laws shall enter into force after their approval by the Board and the Federal Supervisory Board for Foundations.

El objetivo de la Alianza GAVI es promover la salud mediante: (i) el suministro de vacunas y de los medios para facilitar dichas vacunas a las personas de los países más pobres; (ii) la facilitación de la investigación y el desarrollo de vacunas de interés primordial para los países en vías de desarrollo; y (iii) el ofrecimiento de apoyo en conexión con la consecución de los objetivos anteriores contribuyendo al fortalecimiento de los sistemas de atención sanitaria y las sociedades civiles que apoyan dichos objetivos en los países en vías de desarrollo.

The purpose of the GAVI Alliance is to promote health by: (i) providing vaccines and the means to deliver such vaccines to people in the poorest countries; (ii) facilitating the research and development of vaccines of primary interest to the developing world; and (iii) to provide support in connection with achieving the foregoing purposes by helping to strengthen health care systems and civil societies supporting such purposes in the developing world.

Целью Альянса ГАВИ является укрепление здоровья людей во всем мире путем: (i) предоставления вакцин и средств для доставки вакцин населению беднейших стран мира; (ii) содействия исследованиям и разработке вакцин, необходимых в развивающихся странах; и (iii) оказания поддержки в достижении вышеуказанных целей за счет содействия укреплению систем здравоохранения и гражданского общества, способствующего достижению указанных целей в развивающихся странах.
