Funding history
The United States is one of the Alliance’s original six donor countries and contributes to the Alliance through direct contributions. Annual contributions have increased from US$ 48 million in 2001 to almost US$ 90 million in 2011.
At the most recent pledging conference in June 2011, the United States has pledged US$ 450 million for the period 2012-2014 subject to congressional approval.
The annual allocation of the $450 million pledge between 2012-2014 is provided for illustrative purposes only in the chart above. An update of the annual allocation will be provided in due course. In addition to their June pledge for 2012-2014, the US$ contributed US$ 89.3 million for 2011 after the June pledging conference.
