Note: Proceeds are the funds made available to GAVI for the period from donor contributions and commitments, either through cash payments made to GAVI, through the frontloading via the capital markets of a donor future commitment to IFFIm, or AMC funds released to GAVI via the World Bank. Proceeds are subject to change from factors including new pledges announcements, GAVI's cash flow needs from IFFIm and the impact of foreign currency changes. Figures do not include IFFIm agreements that have yet to be formally signed.

Contributions comprise direct contributions already received by GAVI from donors, contributions made to IFFIm and the AMC donor contributions to the World Bank. All 2000-2011 direct, Matching Fund, and AMC contributions are recorded in US dollars at the actual exchange rates for the day of cash received. All 2012-2031 direct, Matching Fund, and AMC pledges are expressed in US dollars at 31 March 2012 exchange rates.All 2000-2011 IFFIm contributions are recorded in US dollars at the actual exchange rates for the day of cash received. All 2012-2031 IFFIm pledges by donors in US dollars and US dollar equivalent amounts of national currency pledges calculated using prevailing exchange rate at the time of signing of the grant agreement. These contributions are hedged at the time the grant agreement is signed. These contributions have not been reduced by a notional 3% provision to allow for any potential reduction arising from the High Level Financing Condition of the IFFIm Finance Framework Agreement.
In 2008 and 2009, the “la Caixa” Foundation contributed €4 million in support of GAVI. At that time, “la Caixa” also created the Business Alliance for Child Vaccination, giving Spanish companies the opportunity to collaborate with the GAVI Alliance in the fight against child mortality. In addition, “la Caixa” employees contribute funding toward GAVI programmes.
In November 2010, the “la Caixa” Foundation renewed its commitment to GAVI with a donation of €3 million and, in 2011 they committed an additional €4 million over 2011-2012 through the GAVI Matching Fund. Support from ”la Caixa” complements the commitment from the government of Spain towards GAVI.
