    Note: Proceeds are the funds made available to GAVI for the period from donor contributions and commitments, either through cash payments made to GAVI, through the frontloading via the capital markets of a donor future commitment to IFFIm, or AMC funds released to GAVI via the World Bank. Proceeds are subject to change from factors including new pledges announcements, GAVI's cash flow needs from IFFIm and the impact of foreign currency changes.

    All 2000-2011 contributions are recorded in US dollars at the actual exchange rates for the day of cash received. All 2012-2031 pledges are expressed in US dollars at 10 June 2011 exchange rates.

    Notes:
    Contributions comprise direct contributions already received by GAVI from donors, contributions made to IFFIm and the AMC donor contributions to the World Bank. All actual contributions are recorded in US dollar at the actual rates for the day received. All contributions pledged and or committed by donors for the period 2011-2030 have been expressed at the US dollar on 10 June 2011.

    2011-2030 IFFIm contributions are reduced by a notional 3% provision to allow for any potential reduction arising from the High Level Financing Condition of the IFFIm Finance Framework Agreement.

  • Funding history

    In 2008 and 2009, the ”la Caixa” Foundation contributed €4 million in support of GAVI. The Foundation also became a member of GAVI’s Every Child Council in 2008, a group that recognises those who make or secure significant financial commitments to support the immunisation cause.

    In November 2010, the “la Caixa” Foundation renewed its commitment to GAVI with a donation of €3 million and in 2011 they committed an additional €4 million over 2011-2012. ”la Caixa” support complements the commitment from the government of Spain towards GAVI.

    Additionally, 'la Caixa' has partnered with GAVI to carry out employee and client campaigns to raise awareness and encourage individual giving to GAVI.

    Contributions and pledges in total:

    • direct funding (2008-2012): US$ 16 million;
    • Matching Fund (2011-2012): US$ 6 million.
