Public transport from rail station

Take the number one bus in the direction of Jardin Botanique. Alight at the penultimate stop on the route. It is called Mines. The GAVI Alliance is in the green building ahead on the right in Chemin des Mines.

Public transport from airport:

Take the number 28 bus and alight at stop Jardin Botanique, the last on the route. The GAVI Alliance is in the green building behind the navy blue UNICEF building.

Directions:

The GAVI Alliance office is in downtown Washington DC opposite the 18th street exit of the Farragut West metro stop.

GAVI’s Washington DC office plays a leading role within the organisation to:

• Advance partnership opportunities for innovative finance
• Liaise with donors and partners throughout the Americas
• Mobilise resources from the private sector
• Provide GAVI a comparative advantage in recruitment, operation costs and other areas.

The Washington DC staff also play an important role in managing GAVI’s investments, treasury, financial reporting and IT functions, all under the direction of the Managing Director Finance and Operations, who is based in Geneva. The DC office also has representation from its Governance, Policy & Performance, Media & Communications, and Advocacy & Public Policy teams, each of which provides a critical link between GAVI and its partners in the Americas.

The Washington DC office is headed by David Ferreira, GAVI’s Managing Director for Innovative Finance.
